The List

Everyone agrees that there are  a group of BASIC songs every kid should know by at least Kindergarten. The question remains- what songs make the list?

Here's a link to a page with a list and links to the songs I thought were worthy to consider as basics for every young person to learn by the time they were done with Kindergarten.

I left out Disney because I'm convinced that that empire has already been successful at implanting their insidious melodies and lyrics to a more than sufficient degree. And most of the popular movie songs too, for much of the same reasons. I always thought it best to focus on teaching what they don't know first.
